I just ran HARJO for the entire USA. As of 1850 there were only 3 of them , all males, and all in NY. If you change the spelling to HARGO, you get 31 hits and they are all either in Monroe Co., VA or in OH. So, something is wrong. I am assuming you are knew at this. I would suggest you back up a bit and list who you have some documentation for in where they were. That is, the name perhaps of your parents, your grandparents, your gg and your g-grandparents.
