Hello all, I am seeking information on Robert Messer, born 9-30-1893 in Bell Co., died 5-8-1962 in Bell but lived in Knox, buried in Patterson Cemetery. He lived with George Messer and Maggie Poindexter and is on the census with them as a son, but he told his family he was not born a Messer, he just took the name. Some of his grandchildren and children believe he was born a Kindred, but I cannot find anything to support that. George was married three times, to Bell Taylor, then to Maggie Poindexter and finally to Janie Woollum. (originally Jane Gray) He was too old to have been a child of Jane's, but could have been born out of wedlock to either Bell or Maggie. I cannot find a birth certificate for Robert or Bob Messer.
