I'm just going to have to put this on the back-burner for awhile. While I posted his name as "Alvie", my mother now insists it was "Alric". He would certainly have been born in the 1912-1925 time frame though I'm uncertain if his birth was in Virginia or Kentucky. He would have married Anna Mae Christian at some point after 1943 (perhaps his second marriage)and they had three male children. All I can remember is that my "uncle Al" had always lived in Barbourville in Knox Co. Looks like Al/Alvie/Alric will remain a brick wall for some time to come.
