This would be Mahala TAYLOR GAMBREL MEREDITH SMITH and her children or some of them. HOWEVER, . . . a bit removed and right next to her sister, Clara TAYLOR with husband Ambrose MESSER and their children is this listing: Dwelling 262-262 SMITH, Elijah, 66, b. KY; parents b. KY . . Mahala, 64, "wife", b. KY NOTE: It appears that she was listed in TWO places as a SMITH. One with her children and one still with this Elijah SMITH, whoever the heck he is.
