JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON WILLIAM THOMAS FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 12/13/07 William L. Thomas, age 81, of Middletown, OH passed away December 11, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1926 in Girdler, KY to Crit and Ida (Garland) Thomas. He served in the Navy in WWII. William worked at Dayton Coca-Cola Bottling Co. as a driver and supervisor for 28 years retiring in 1981; volunteered at Kettering Medical Center and was a dedicated KY Wildcat Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ada Tipton and Lilly Garland. William is survived by his wife of 6 years, Carol Thomas; sons, Dennis (Joanne) Thomas of Kettering, OH and Don (Paula) Thomas of Beavercreek, OH; daughter, Debbie Thomas (Jaffet Cordoba) of Atlanta, GA; step-daughters, Phyllis (Ray) Bank and Janet Fennel both of Middletown, OH; 7 grandchildren, April, Bryan, Andrew, Julie, Emily, Jennifer and Travis; 3 step-grandchildren, Ryan, Darin and Cole and special Thank You to Nurses Care Inc. Visitation will be December 15, 2007 from 11:30-1:30 PM at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home! . A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:30 PM with Pastor Sammy Reed officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery with military services by the US Navy Color Guard.
