There is a place on a high ridge up Hinkle Branch where there is some carvings that were supposingly done by Civil War soldier(s). I was told this was a lookout. Does anyone have information about this? I have climbed the mountain and have pictures of the carvings. In researching Knox County I find that Hinkle Branch may be part of the Warriors Path.
