It gives in Knox Co. Marriage Bond Book M, Page 318: Feb. 4, 1890 Groom - lst marriage Bride - lst marriage at James W. TAYLOR EVANS, J. W., age 28 years; born: AL; father b.: AL; mother b. TN to: PATTERSON, Sarah J., 18, b. Knox Co. ; parents b. Knox Co., KY Assuming he was approx. 28 years of age, then his year of birth would have been around 1862 vs. the 1842 you have listed. And, per the bond record, his father was born in AL and his mother was from TN. He also was born in AL. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA p.s. I have Pearl/Pearlie EVANS in my data base but don't know the name of her husband. What was her husband's given name? I have found a bunch of children born to her with the EPPERSON surname mostly born in Knox Co. but also some born in Harlan and Laurel Co.'s.
