Remember, this is a guess on my part. I could be way, way off!! Clay Co. Marriage Index: TEAGUE, Nasby to BROCK, Mary married on May 16, 1912 - File 36 NOTE: Have you ordered their marriage record to see what, if anything, it might say? I also noted in the majority of the death certificates for Nasby TEAGUE, it showed he was born in Clay Co., KY so I checked out all the TEAGUES in Clay and Knox Co.'s. When I hit the 1930 Knox Co., KY Fed. Census, I ran into this: Dwelling 160-160 TEAGUE, Wesley, mar. at 27, age 42, b. KY; parents b. KY . .Mary H., 33, wife, mar. at 17, b. KY . .Bessie, 11, dau, b. KY (per KBI b. Knox on 12-22-1918 to Mary BROCK) . .Lucy, 9, dau, b. KY (per KBI b. 9-1-1920 in Knox to Mary BROCK) . .Arthur, 7, son, b. KY (per KBI b. 10-19-1922 in CLAY Co. to Mary BROCK - name spelled as: Arttus . .Lewis, 4, son, b. KY (per KBI b. 9-26-1925 in Knox to Mary BROCK) . .Mack, 2, son, b. KY (pretty much matches the Mack b. 11-15-1927 who died 9-3-1941 of septicemia) BROCK, Bibby, 8, nephew, b. KY In 1920 in Knox Co., KY - Fighting Creek Road Dwelling 96-95 TEAQUE, Joseph W., 33, head, b. KY . .Lilly, 29, b. KY . .William, 9, b. KY (William P. b. 1-12-1911 to Lillie MILLS ; says Knott but prob. Knox Co. . .Mary, 6, b. KY (per KBI, Lillie MILLS gave birth in Knox on 5-13-1913 to Mary B.) . .Hazel, 3, b. KY (per KBI; Lillie MILLS gave birth in Knox on 1-7-1917-Hazle TEAGUE) MARRIAGE RECORD for this couple says: married in Knox Co. on 9-23-1909. He was 23 years; she was 17 years. He was born in Clay Co. She in Knox Co. Recorded in Book A-12; Page 475 He is listed as: J. W. TEAGUE. She was Lillie MILLS. Now, on this marriage record it says that his father was: John TEAGUE and his mother was a Sarah TEAGUE, b. Knox Co. Her father is listed as: Isaac MILLS married to a Mary from Clay Co. Isaac MILLS shows as born in Knox Co. In Nasby's WWI Draft Registration he states he was born in Clay Co., KY on February 15, 1888 and that he has a wife and l child as of 1917. In 1910 at Girdler, Knox Co., KY Dwelling 26-27 Residence of Willie and Halie HAMMONS and a bunch of children, he is listed as: Nasby TEAGUE, age 21, single and a boarder. 1900 Clay Co., KY Dwelling 406-426 TEAGUE, Thomas, head, b. 5-1872, 28, mar. 2 times, b. IN; parents b. KY - farmer* ** . .Lucy, wife, b. 2-1875, 25, mar. 2 times, l born; b. KY; parents b. KY . .Mary M., dau, n. 3-1899, 1, b. kY; father b. IN; mother b. KY . . Joseph W., BROTHER, b. 3-1887, 13, single, b. KY; parents b. KY - farm laborer* * . .Easter, SISTER, b. 9-1892, 7, single, b. KY; parents b. KY* * 1880 Clay Co., KY Dwelling 322-322 TEAGUE, Isaac, 53, b. TN; parents b. TN . .Mary A., 53, wife, b. TN; parents b. TN . .Ellender, 32, dau, b. TN . .James, 22, son, b. TN . .Joseph, 20, single, b. TN * * * (possibility) . .Lilly, white female, 7, 'grandau', b. KY; parents b. TN Living two dwellings removed is an Isaac and Sarah UNK. TEAGUE, ages 36 and 24 respectively. He is from TN and parents b. TN. She is from KY as are her parents. Let me know if I am completely whacko on this information. I see from their marriage record that some of what I have is incorrect.
