    1. Re: [KYKNOX] Marriage lookup please-
    2. RESPONSE: Hello, I was just looking at a death certificate for Sarah MOSLEY dated 2-6-1917 in Knox Co. She died from pneumonia. Buried in the Tinsely Cem. Says her parents were: Daniel ALFORD and Armilda McCABE. However, . . . they have totally miscalculated on her date of birth. On the death cert it states she was born: 8-7-1893 which calculates out to 23 years. This is cert #11-5093. I can send that to you if you like. Just write and give me your e-mail address. Based upon the fact she shows up like this on the 1910, she was more likely born around 1874: Dwelling 65-65 - 1910 Knox - Artemus MOSLEY, Samuel, 36, mar. 1, mar. 17 yrs, b. KY; parents b. TN - farmer . .Sarah, 36, mar. 1, mar. 17 yrs, 3 born; 3 living, b. KY; father b. NC; mother b. KY . .Mephra, 16, son, b. KY . .Melda J., 12, dau, b. KY . .Della, 8, dau, b. KY ALFORD, Melda J., 75, widow, b. KY; parents b. KY (I guess Melda is short for Armilda in this case) Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA In a message dated 1/27/2008 10:47:11 AM Pacific Standard Time, Joycetcollins@cs.com writes: > In a message dated 1/27/2008 8:26:10 AM Pacific Standard Time, > anita@bingamon.com writes: > >He > >was born October 9, 1873 in KY, and had married a Sarah Elizabeth > >Alford (my great-grandmother) in 1890-1914, a Febia/Phoebe Carr Bays > >in 1918, and a Margaret Gibson Owens Collins during the 1920 Knox Co. > >census. 3. Thanks, Joyce! I do have Sam's first wife Sarah's death certificate, as well as his marriage certificate to Febia Carr. Margaret is the mother of the second son named Miphra, from birth records, but there is a Sam Mosley living with a second Sarah, in Artemus, in the 1930 Knox Co., KY census, and they have a son, Mipha/Miphra, that was born about 1924. He was my grandmother's half-brother. Margaret was the one that gave the info on Samual's death certificate in 1930. I was confused about the 1930 census and the 1930 death certificate. I wondered if Sam had divorced Marg (Margaret), took custody of Miphra, and married or lived with another woman named Sarah, who happened to be born around 1883 - guestimated from the age given on the 1930 census. I agree that there has been an error on the first Sarah (Alford)'s birthdate. I have seen her year of birth being 1873 and 1874 in different sources. I have seen Sam's name written different ways - Mosely, Moseley, Mosley, and even Morley, along with Sam, Samuel, Samual, and S.M. Moseley. Just wondering if I got off track somewhere. What is really strange is this second Sarah not being the one to give the information on Samual's death certificate, but Sam's third wife Margaret. I cannot find a marriage certificate on this marriage in either Knox, KY or Claiborne, TN. I could also look in the Bell County, KY marriages............ You can send the information to me at anita@bingamon.com. Again, thanks for your time and infornation in advance Anita Bingamon At 02:18 PM 1/27/2008, you wrote: >RESPONSE: >Hello, > >I was just looking at a death certificate for Sarah MOSLEY dated 2-6-1917 in >Knox Co.
