Mary, My grandmother Mary Jane Lawson Bays is Sarah Elizabeth "Betty" Lawson Bays' sister. Uncle Charley Bays was my dad's cousin and uncle by marriage. We always called him Uncle Charley. I was at his wake in 1951. My dad Ishmael Bays and his brother, Robert Bays, helped make his coffin that night. The last time that I saw Aunt Betty Bays was at my grandmother's funeral. Aunt Betty died 31 DEC 1977. Her death date isn't on her tombstone. Do you know who took care of her in later years?
