Author: kystarlette1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.knox/5094.1.3.2.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I was really intrigued by your question,it seems like every time I research anything to do with Thursann or any of my ancestors I seem to find out more and more...however,it is getting really hard to find out anything new for me as well especially since now that my daddy is gone,and most of his siblings and family are as well I have to rely on my moms memory of things.SO anyhow,with that said.I spoke to my mom tonight and I read her your post.She said back around 00'-01' (which is a total guesstimate) that while dad was going to dyalisis,that he told her that his "aunt" had died,and so they went to Knox Funeral Home to see her.Her name was Mossie,and supposedly she was Papaw Colsons half sister.She said that the last they knew of Mossie she lived in Grays and that this one had three sons by the names of Dave,Otis,and Colson. We also discussed how they named their children it seems after their siblings..and how my dad has a sister named Mossie,but when she grew up and left t! o live in Louisville,she was then called Juanita?So Im not sure if papaw named her after his sister or not but it sure seems that way,after all he did name one of his sons after one of his brothers that we new of..which was F.B or Frank Brown.So as far as I know,Mossie was his half sister.I hope this helps you some and I appreciate you writing to me.If you find any info as well,please feel free to share it with me...and by the way,welcome to my family!=) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
