I will be happy to look further for you if you will provide me the following information: l. Where is the VERY FIRST place you locate your Mary Ellen HUGHS in a census or elsewhere? 2. Who did she marry and where did she live and when? 3. How do you know that her father's name was James HUGHES? 4. Is it possible that James HUGHES was her father but that he and her natural mother were never married? These facts will give me further information to search with.
