The listing above is from my transcribed books of census. When I looked at the actual microfilm, it is actually difficult to read the middle initial of the John HAmPTION, the one year old in this family. I tend to think that he was actually a John W. As for the 1860 Knox Co., KY, there is only one family in Knox Co. that James could be a part of. His age is off but that sort of thing happens all of the time due to lack of good record keeping and lack of education.
