Census book may or may not be listed as such. When I went to Ancestry.com and looked at the microfilm, it may be that RICHARDS/RICHARDSON were used interchangeably. Having said that on the 1820 and 1830 there is a John RICHARDS still in Lincoln Co., KY - Crab Orchard. On the 1830, his age comes up as bet. 70-80 so don't know if he is quite old enough to be yours or not. The 1810 and 1820 simply show him as over 45 yrs of age with no further age delineation.
