Where you state that family remembers her referring to "a" grandma TAYLOR who lost one arm in a mill", while I don't know if it is one and the same but I have an ancestor who sort of fits that description. This would be Alabama TAYLOR b. 1843 who died after 1920 (I have her on the census records up through 1920). She was the dau. of Cornelius and Sarah Ann WALKER TAYLOR. She was the youngest sister to my g-grandfather, Harrison TAYLOR b. 1834; d. 1904. This Alabama TAYLOR married Brice MILLS. She definitely lost one of her arms in a saw mill accident. I'm just not able to connect her to your Cordia JACKSON. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. She had three children and this is what I know about them: Henry Jackson (who later took the name Taylor?) Nancy Hensley (my grandmother)b. 1910, whose father was Fox Hensley (she married Asher Wynn) She was a teenager when her mother died. Family remembers her referring to a Grandma Taylor who lost one arm in a mill? Alice (Jackson?) but was told by family she was a Mills and I have no info on her father. I don't believe that Corda/Cordie was married to any of the above children's fathers. However, Fox Hensley states on my g-mother's delayed birth certificate that he is her father. I was told my g-g-mother died on the day Alice's first child was born which could have been October 9, 1927. The year would be about right. This is the biggest brick wall for me as my mother doesn't remember much about her grandmother. Anyone with ANY information on this family please email me at cclayburn@richmond.ky.us, Thanks! 1. [KYKNOX] Additions
    2. Cassy Sommers
    3. I hate to admit how slow I have been at getting additions onto the Knox County Web Site. Between adding the death certificates, World War I Draft Cards, Obituaries, and marriage records my e-mail has piled up and from other donations and I am finally getting other items added to the web site. I appreciate all everyone has done to donate to the website and I don't believe I have lost e-mail, I'm just getting caught up! Any ways on to the good stuff. I have added many family photographs. Mary Bryant Adams has donated six family photographs of: Alex Garland and Rhoda Hampton Garland (3) Cenia Ethel Garland Bryant (3) Robin Landgren has donated four family photographs of: Ellen Helen Miller (2) Richard Ballinger Miller Virginia Ballinger Miller I have also added another large group of obituaries. 3. Hammons Fork - Sarah Jones Hughes was my great aunt. She was married to John William Hughes, brother of my grandfather, Jackson Franklin Hughes. What a great treat to find that picture of her! My father would have loved to see that one. He talked fondly of his Aunt Sarah. Unfortunately, she died when I was very young, and I don't remember her. I do fondly remember my Great Uncle John, however. I was even at his funeral. Thank you! I have never seen this photo before.

    3. I have posted about 20 photographs from many of the different schools in Knox County. These were donated by Mary Bryant Adams she found them in a book at the Whitley County Library about two years ago. If anyone knows what book these photographs came from I would love to give the proper credit to the author (and make sure the author doesn't mind us posting them) The link to the school photographs can be found on the front page of the Knox County Web Site. http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyknox/Knox-County-Home.html I also want to remind everyone that I also have a myfamily.com web site and we would love to have everyone join us there. 2. Lois Card
    3. Good Morning Knox County researchers, I am researching the family and descendants of Andrew and Mary Gibson McCoy. I am descendant of Andrew's younger brother Joseph McCoy. While I have been able to collect some information, primarily in public records, (what I have is posted on our family web site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~allourrelations/mccoy/mcintro.html) I still have many gaps in my research. After Andrew's death in the Civil War Mary and their children removed to the home of Mary's father Finley Gibson in Knox Co Ky. Andrew and Mary's children were: 1. Stephen McCoy (August 25, 1856 TN-April 21, 1935 Bryant's Store Knox Co., KY) who married first Martha "Angeline" Hamblin and second Belle Powers. 2. Sterling McCoy (January 16, 1860 TN-June 23, 1930 Knox Co., KY) who married first Judy Evans and second Nancy Lawson. 3. Finely McCoy (c.1859 TN-?) (I have very little information on Finley) Any help or leads will be most appreciated.
