I will be happy to look further for you if you will provide me the following information: l. Where is the VERY FIRST place you locate your Mary Ellen HUGHS in a census or elsewhere? 2. Who did she marry and where did she live and when? 3. How do you know that her father's name was James HUGHES? 4. Is it possible that James HUGHES was her father but that he and her natural mother were never married? These facts will give me further information to search with. Mary Ellen was born in Mar. 1852 in Kentucky to a James Hugh(e)s - name of her Mother is not known. I also agree with Mary that Debra has a great idea, but having visited the Knox County Museum a few times, you need to keep in mind that the space they occupy is fairly small and is extremely limited on seating space to do research. I don't intend to dampen the fire, but if this event becomes too large you could truly have a problem on your hands. Pati, I checked the listing for the Croley Cemetery at Goldens Creek. It has G. B. Croley, b. 16 Feb 1861, d. 11 Mar 1949, and Mollie Croley, b. 04 Apr 1871, d. 25 Dec 1943. Are these the people you are looking for? I believe the cemetery is just across the line in Whitley County. Hello, For the person seeking the Locust Grove Cem., I typed in Locust Grove Cemetery + Kentucky on Yahoo.com and found there is a cemetery by that name at Keavy, KY. When I checked to see the location of Keavy, it turns out to be in Whitley Co., KY. This is where Mollie CROLEY died. She died in her 40's of breast cancer. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA

Hi, I am looking for this old cemetery, Locust Grove. I was told it was out by the Golden's Cemetery. Can someone give me exact directions. Thank you! Pati Sears-Burnett ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pati, The Whitley County Graveyard Books don't show a Locust Grove Cemetgery. Who is buried there? If the person transcribing the cemetery didn't know the name of it, they named it after the person who had been buried there the longest. Mary Siler
