Hi Cassy, All of the files in the Archives, where the cemetery transcriptions are that you'd linked to, have moved. You'll find the Archives at http://usgwarchives.org/ky/kyfiles.html. For the Knox County files, you'll find the TOC at http://usgwarchives.org/ky/knox/knox.html. The cemetery TOC page is at http://www.usgwarchives.org/ky/knox/cemeteries.html - that will give you the exact links to the individual cemeteries. I have left out the original writers name as she didn't specifically ask for me to post this and I don't know if she wants her name out here or not. I have been a member of Coalport Missionary Baptist Church for 35 year. We have recently taken the bell out of the old church steeple and are wanting to make a sign including the bell and a marker with the 10 commandments on it. Our problem is, we want to include the “date established” and cannot find that date. I’ve looked at the deed in the court house, no help. I’ve looked through many books at the Library, no help. I’ve searched the old books in the museum, no help. I’ve left a message for Mike Mills – he hasn’t returned my call. I’ve attempted to contact Sol Warren and Haven’t had any luck with that either. The building we are in was a one room school building in the early 1900’s. Rufus Bays was a teacher there at one time. He is the only one that I know for a fact. I found Susan Fry's death certificate image at Ancestry's Kentucky Death Records, 1852-1953 site. It shows that her father was John Wrinkles, b. TN. Her mother's name is shown as "unknown." Wrinkles could certainly be a misunderstanding of Sprinkles. There were Sprinkles in Gray, Knox Co., where you indicate Susan America Sprinkle Frye died (and confirmed by her death certificate). These Knox Co. Sprinkles were from VA (Lee Co.), some of whom lived for a time in TN. That said, I cannot identify a John Sprinkles of an age to be Susan America's father. But let me work on this for a while and see what I can discover. Do you have any other information about Susan America Sprinkle's family? For instance, do you know of any brothers or sisters?
