I was thinking that maybe if enough people are interested in this book, Michael C. Mills - Barbourville, Kentucky: A Pictorial Look Back (1977), that we might get Michael Mills or the Knox County Historical Society to reprint this book. He lives in Bimble, just outside of Barbourville, Kentucky. I have a copy of his latest book, but I would love to have a copy of this book as well. I recently spoke with someone who has been to this cemetery and she gave me bad directions. Said it was off of HWY 11 but it isn't. I do know the general vacinity. It is over on HorseCreek, I was told by someone else near Sweet Hollow. I spoke with another person who said her grandpa owned the farm the cemetery was on. I asked her if she would give me directions and never heard back from her. ARGH.. I have a tombstone web site so I would love to find it myself. However, I can't swear this is the same Jones cemetery you are looking for the only people I know that are buried there are Stephen and Lavina Hammons Teague. Cassy. I just found on the 1930 Census that my father-in-law, Ballard Anderson, is listed as a veteran of the Spanish-American War. He would have been about 18 at the time. RESPONSE: This Curtis BLAKELEY and others in his family appear on both the 1850 and 1860 Whitley Co. Fed. Census. On the 1860, he is 80 years old with a 67 year old wife, Nancy. Most probably he was buried somewhere in Whitley Co. vs. Knox Co. I would think. It is a wonderful book and there are a few of the buildings and homes pictured in it still standing although many have been torn down including the depot. I somehow missed the print of the old depot.
