She was a homemaker and member of the First Pentecostal Church in Barbourville. During World War II, she was a riveter at Hudson Motor Car Company, which manufactured aircraft. Her husband Amos Evans preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, William E. Bennett and wife Jeanette of Goldens Creek; two grandsons and two great grandchildren. Services were conducted in Knox Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, Jan. 12. with the Rev. Ronnie Ball and the Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. Burial was in Evans Cemetery at Kingtown. Some of the children's names were difficult to read but none looked like "Tip" so perhaps he is listed under a middlename. Also, this is the first time I've noticed children over the age of 2 listed with the number of months rather than the age so I'm not sure I'm reading it right.
