Updates below: Neda Taylor and Ray Stewart completed the 1920 Census Indexes by Surname and by Precint. Caroly Grove has completed the District 44 of the 1904 School Census. We've been at it again, but just a little bit tonight. The following Marriage Records were donated and are now posted from Jennifer Allen-Millhorn, Thank you Jennifer! Hendrickson-Thomas-and-Hallen-Sarah.jpg Messer-Semore-and-Gray-Louisa.jpg Wyatt-Champlin-and-Hampton-Jane.jpg Brown-William-and-Messer-Joanah.jpg Laws-G-W-and-Leonard-Hannah.jpg Joyce Taylor-Collins has sent in the Obituaries from The Barbourville Mountain Advocate for March 2 and March 9 and both are now posted online. Thank you Joyce, I don't say that enough. Front Page photograph. We have a new photograph on the front page. It is another UNKNOWN but we would love to add a name to the wonderful faces we see. The photograph was carried around for years by Charles Mckeen b. 1915. It was taken around the railroad so if you have family working on the railroad you this is a must see. You never know it could be your grandpa! Coming soon we have part of the 1904 school census to post, the 1920 census index, part of the 1960 census has been transcribed, over 1,000 marriage records, and a handful of death certificates. Thank you everyone for the wonderful additions. If you have photos or stories or anything pertaining to Knox County that you would like to share with the rest of us please don't hesitate to contact me. Sometimes I'm slow in responding, or getting things posted. But I promise they will all make it to the site. Here is some additional information on your Randall G. MILLER or at least it appears to be the correct one. There is more than one. SSDI: Randall G. MILLER SSN 125-01-2164 Fourmile, Knox Co., KY 40939 - last benefits address born: 10-8-1919 died: 11-10-2000 SSN was issued in New York prior to 1951 On the KBI: Randall G. MILLER b. 10-8-1919 in Grayson Co., KY maiden name of mother: Almeda McSTOOTS (think that may be garbled) Vol. 91, Cert 45138 There was also a son, Paul MILLER b. 6-22-1916 to Media McSTOTTS in Grayson Co., KY On the WWII Draft Reg. 1938-1946 there is: Randall G. MILLER born; 1919 in KY enlistment 8-3-1942 at Jefferson Co., KY Married height: 68 inches weight: 140 lbs. If he happened to have returned to Grayson Co. and married, there are these two births: Margaret STINSON had Henry A. MILLER b. 2-12-1941 in Grayson and Virginia A. MILLER b. 8-10-1943 in Grayson Co. Once you start looking for MILLER births in either Knox Co. or Bell Co., there are too many Margarets having MILLER children to make any determination at all. If you have any names of any children, that would help to pin the mother down and then possibly work back to figure out the female child you are seeking. Remember, these are total guesses on my part from the records. Since he died at Four Mile, Knox Co., have you contacted the Barbourville Advocate to see if there is a way to access their 2000 Obits? You could try the same thing with the local Bell Co. newspaper. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA
