    3. Just a few small additions this weekend. Been busy with the Indiana Cemeteries. But we have a few new Family Group Sheets added to the web site. Samuel FERGUSON William MAYS Thomas PRICHARD Felix STACY Norton Joshua STACY It would be great if we could get more people to fill out the Family Group Sheets. They take a while to fill out but are well worth it. 3. I would if I had a copy of CD 4 to duplicate for you all. Several hundred of my KY death certs are probably on CD 1, as I think I was one of the first to scan the daylights out of the KY records I had. But I never obtained any of the CDs. I'd be really happy to help out (if no one else volunteers) and you could send me a copy of that CD. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CBB.2ACE/5872.1 Message Board Post: Hello, With regard to Hiram LEDFORD, I don't have an answer for you but here is a clue: 1910 Clay Co. Fed. Census Dwelling 173-173 CHADWELL, Floyd, head, 29, mar. 1, mar. 8 yrs, b. KY; father b. TN; mother b. Ky . .Jane, wife, 26, mar. 1, mar. 8 yrs, 6 bo . 6 living, b. KY; parents b. KY LEDFORD, Polly, sister-in-law, 29, single, b. KY; parents b. KY . .Hiram, brother-in-law, 18, single, b. KY; parents b. KY 1900 Leslie Co., KY Dwelling 084 - Hyden ASHER, Timothy, head, 35, mar. 11 yrs, b. KY; parents b. KY . .Robert, 24, boarder, 24, single, b. KY . .Mary, 19, dau, . Susan, 24, wife, mar. 11 yrs, 5 born; 2 living, b. KY . Mary, 19, dau, b. 1881, b. KY (must have come from an earlier marriage of Timothy) . .Cordelia, 9, dau, b. 1891, b. KY . .Henry, 6,son, b. 1894, b. KY LEDFORD, Polly, 21, boarder, b. apr 1879, b. KY * * * . .NOTE: Therefore, it would appear that this Jane on the 1910 was a LEDFORD and that Polly and Hiram are her siblings. And, there is the possibility that as of the 1900 in Leslie Co., this Polly was the same Polly as in the 1910. So, most likely we had parents who died, a mother who was not married or something like that. There is some reason they are scattered around. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA p.s. If you could locate a marriage record for Jane, it might indicate her parents. Have you ordered the death cert for Hiram to see what it indicates? Floyd CHADWELL appears to be b. in Clay Co. He shows up as a l yr old in the home of an Alexander CHADWELL as of the 1880. On the 1900 Leslie Co. Fed. census, there is this listing which "might" be a clue: Dwelling 084 - Hyden ASHER, Timothy, head, 35, mar. 11 yrs, b. KY; parents b. KY . .Robert, 24, boarder, 24, single, b. KY . .Mary, 19, dau, Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CBB.2ACE/5866.2.1 Message Board Post: Joyce, THANK YOU SO much for this information. Elizabeth Smith has been the most impossible of all my ancestors to research - obviously, the name is very common and birth, marriage & death records for her have been hard to come by. Even her grave is unmarked (and the funeral home has no record of it) and my father was there for the burial. Your research confirms Elizabeth Smith's parents for me, finally!!!!! I believe now she is actually a Nancy Elizabeth (N.E. Smith). I will obviously do some more research when I am in Barbourville this coming weekend. I think the Newton Smith may be a different one from yours. He was an Albert Newton Smith (from Tenn) married to a Nancy Jane....unless he remarried at some point. Thank you again!! This was my one major road block in my ancestral line. Do you know if you can still purchase a copy of the Knox Co. Marriage Records anywhere?
