    2. RESPONSE: Hello, Just adding a few specific dates to your 1930 Bourbon Co., KY Fed. Census from the KBI: JACKSON, Beula C. b. 12-31-1924 in Clark Co., KY; Vol. 002, Cert 00887; maiden name of mother: Millie ALDRIDGE JACKSON, Julia M. b. 10-20-1926 in Clark Co., KY; maiden name of mother listed as: Minnie ELDRIDGE; Vol. 096; Cert 47623 JACKSON, (listed as: Suta H. b. 11-6-1917 in Clark Co., KY; Vol. 110, Cert 54608; maiden name of mother: Millie ALDRIDGE (assume this is Sudie) JACKSON, William P., b. 9-12-1920 in Clark Co., KY; maiden name of mother: Millie ELDRIDGE; Vol. 90, Cert 44787 NOTE: I am unable to pick up a death record for him. A couple of comments regarding the 1880 Knox Co. The Dwelling # was: 445-448. Balmy JACKSON as listed as: widowed. At first glance I was thinking that the Rosa J., 3 months listed on microfilm and born in February in the household as a grandau was the daughter of Isaac TAYLOR. Then it dawned on me that Rosa TAYLOR-JACKSON that I have in my data base was NOT EVEN born until April 15, 1894 and died 1-19-1978. So, I guess that possibly Sarah J. or Emily JACKSON, Alabama's other daughters were the mother of this earlier Rosa J. JACKSON. Do you have any thoughts on this baby listed on the 1880? 3. I am trying to place the Rev Andrew Baker you mentioned married to Elizabeth Avant. I am showing an older Rev Andrew Baker b abt 1765 married to a 'Molly' Boling/Bowling and some younger Andrew Bakers. Could you please tell me more about the Rev Andrew Baker you mention. I would like to get him placed correctly in my Baker data-base. What is the age of your Andrew Baker, son of Rev Andrew Baker? Anything to possibly help me pin down the correct Rev Andrew Baker married to Elizabeth Avant. Was Elizabeth's maiden name Avant? Thanks for your help and sharing. William Baker is the son of Joseph Baker and Mary Walker Baker. William was born around 1775 in NC. William and Elizabeth Dean Baker settled near William's parents and his brother Bryce in the Stinking Creek area of Knox Co. Elizabeth Dean's father John Dean received about 3000 acres in the Greasy Creek area for his service in the Revolutionary War. On a related note, the descendants of Joseph Baker are not of the same line of Bakers as the Rev Andrew Baker and Elizabeth Avent. This has been proven via genetic testing of the male descendants. You can find the results at www.bakerdna.net. There are a large number of Bakers related to the Rev Andrew Baker in this study. Happy family hunting, Michele

    2. Sizemore
    3. The tombstone for George "All" Sizemore & Agnes (Shepherd) was placed in the Begley/Sizemore/Joe Napier Cemetery at Dry Hill, Leslie Co., KY. Here are the directions to the cemetery: Take Hwy 257 north at the red light by the Leslie County Courthouse in Hyden, KY. Just before mile marker 7, turn R across bridge over Middle Fork River. At end of bridge, turn R on Lower McIntosh Rd for about 5 blocks to Red Napier Rd. Turn R and cross bridge over Cutshin Creek. At end of bridge turn L on first drive up to a home. Cemetery is L of home in plain sight. Walk to the back of cemetery (walking uphill). The fieldstones of George “All” Sizemore & Agnes (Shepherd) are the last two stones about the center rear of cemetery. You can read the fieldstones looking downhill. The new tombstone was set so it could be read walking uphill. Monument company would not set the new tombstone near the large hickory tree by Agnes’ grave.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CBB.2ACE/5892.1 Message Board Post: Hi, Suzanne. I am a descendant of William Baker and Elizabeth Dean. I do have a few notes on Elizabeth. Elizabeth Dean was the daughter of John Dean and Sarah Lincoln. She was born about 1786 in Virginia. John Dean was born around 1755 in Rockingham Co, VA. Some sources name his parents as William and Sarah Dean. He fought in the Revolutionary War and was rewarded land in Kentucky as a reward (as were many early settlers in Kentucky). He married Sarah Lincoln around 1783 in Rockingham Co, VA. Sarah Lincoln was the daughter of John Lincoln and Rebecca Flowers. They were also the great-grandparents of President Abraham Lincoln, making Sarah his great-aunt. Sarah was born in Berks Co, PA on 18 September 1757. John and Sarah had at least 5 children, all born in VA before moving to Kentucky: Elizabeth, John Jr, Abraham, Thomas, and Rebecca. I have seen other family trees which listed other children, but those have some records related to them. John and Sarah moved the family to Knox Co before 1800. John appears as a land owner in the 1800 Tax List for Knox Co. Sarah died in 1809 per some sources and John died in 1812. John appears in the 1810 census. Elizabeth married William Baker in 1803 as the early marriage record states. They had at least two sons: William Jr and John Daniel. William Jr is my line of descent. William apparently died before 1830. Elizabeth is listed in that census year as the head of household as "Betsy Baker". She also appears in the 1840 and 1850 census. There is no record I can find beyond 1850, so its likely she died before 1860. I am planning a trip to Knox Co later this year and I hope to be able to search deed and wills to see what else I can find on the Bakers and Deans. I would love to see any information you have on Baker/Dean descendants. Michele Kemper
