I guess Mary Martin WAS married to Herman.....here is her obit from 2006...... Mary Martin Combs, age 75, of Fisty, Kentucky, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Hazard ARH, Hazard, Kentucky. She was born November 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Ezra and Cumine Combs Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Herman Combs and Adams Combs; one daughter: Patricia Ann Combs; one sister: Gladys Jones. She is survived by two sons: Donald Keith Combs of Clear Creek, Kentucky and Darrell Wayne Combs of Hazard, Kentucky; one daughter: Helen Lenora Combs of Clear Creek, Kentucky; one brother: Elmer Martin of Clear Creek, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Anthony Patrick, Adam Ritchie and Sherry Lynn Slone; one great-grandchild: Jace Anthony Patrick. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 28, at 1 p.m., at Clear Creek Free Church, Clear Creek, Kentucky, with Bethel Bolen and Eldon Wall officiating.
