JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON EVERETT BATES FROM THE DAYTON (OH) DAILY NEWS 3/3/10 Everett Bates, 92 of Kettering, OH passed away March 2, 2010. He was born on March 20, 1917 to Columbus and Eliza Bates in Kite, KY. He served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II in the Pacific Theatre flying 63 missions. He retired from Frigidaire in 1976 after thirty years of service. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Nora and two sons, Mike of Beavercreek, OH and Kevin (Ollie) of Washington Township, OH. He dearly loved his two grandchildren: Kim (Aaron) Garrity of Erie, PA and Kyle Bates of Washington Township, OH and three great-grandchildren Hope, Addie, and Paige Garrity of Erie, PA. He is also survived by his sister Olga Sloane of Pine Top, KY. He will be greatly missed by his many loving nieces, nephews, friends and loving daughter-law. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. March 6, 2010 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc. 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, OH with Rev. Dennis Huff officiating. Internment to follow in Davids Cemetery, Kettering. The fami! ly will receive friends March 5, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton OH 45420 or to The Gathering Place Baptist Church, 3001 Ackerman Blvd. Kettering, OH 45429.
