She was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 9, 1923 to William McDaniel and Mable Mosier McDaniel. She is survived by 2 sons: Blaine (Sandy) Combs and Robert Combs; 2 daughters: Sandra Fugate and Pat (Sam) Godsey; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with John Morris officiating. State Police Deputy Commissioner and Consultant for the LKLP Community Action Council. He was also a retired basketball coach at Bethel Christian Academy, Sunday School Director and Member of the Big Branch Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. He is survived by his wife- Lana Cornett; 2 sons- Charles Leslie Cornett and Justin Paul (Shae) Cornett; 1 daughter- Leah Michelle (Jeff) Fugate; 2 brothers- Hagan (Joy) Cornett and Frankie (Teresa) Cornett; 1 sister- Caren Cornett; 9 grandchildren- Joel (Abbie), Jeremy, Jonathan, Leah, Laura, Chip, Ricky, Anna and Aiden.
