Shirley Ratliff Amburgey, age 83, of Louisa, Ky., formerly of Langley, Ky. widow of Olin Amburgey passed away on November 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1927 in Langley, Ky., the daughter of Allen Ratliff and Mary Ann Lafferty Ratliff. Survivors include two sons,Olin Gene Amburgey(Glenda),Louisa,Ky. and Stephen Allen Amburgey (Edwina),Langley,Ky.,two daughters,Jacqueline Garrison(Lenny),Howell,Mi. and Sherry Ann Amburgey (Randy), Cincinnati,Oh.,one brother,Edgel Ratliff (Joan),Ypsilanti,Mi.,three sisters Myrtle Ratliff, Minnie,Ky., Lula Bradley, Drift,Ky., Sydney Ratliff, Drift,Ky.,9 grandchildren,and many great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Ratliff and Mary Ann Ratliff and her husband, Olin Amburgey. Funeral services for Shirley Ratliff Amburgey will be conducted Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 12 noon, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, Ky., with Lenny Wheeler officiating. Burial Will follow in the Jim Ratliff Cemetery, Langley, Ky., with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Shirley Ratliff was a teacher in the Floyd County School System.
