    2. Vivian Coots, 70, of Viper, passed away Tuesday, February 23 in Lexington. She is survived by her son, Greg Coots of Viper; daughters Carol Boffo and Cleda Dalton, both of Viper; two brothers, four sisters, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27 at the Brashear-Callahan Funeral Home of Viper. Burial was at the Coots Family Cemetery in Viper. Brashear-Callahan Funeral Home of Viper was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Calitri was born in Perry County on April 23, 1922, to E.C. and Lena Campbell Fugate. She was a former member of the Bowman Memorial Methodist Church and a member of the Richmond First United Methodist Church. Pauline spent many years as a family restaurant owner/operator in Hazard. She was active in her church, community and her most precious moments were spent with her children and family. She was also known for her coconut cream pies and was an avid Kentucky Basketball fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years John Calitri, and her parents. Survivors include: her 5 children; Don (Judy) Calitri of Richmond, John Michael (Barbara) Calitri of Corbin, Robert (Leigh) Calitri of Ashland, Charles (Luralyn) Calitri of Lexington, and Ernestine (Robert) Brashear of Berea; seven grandchildren Mark (Devon) Calitri, John (Dawn) Calitri, Stephen (Melanie) Calitri, Leann Brashear, Chris Calitri, James Calitri, Austin Brashear, Great-grandchildren; Megan Calitri, Peyton Calitri, Kennedy Calitri, Kylee Taylor, Chloe Calitri, Kody Calitri, Shawn Lyle, Olivia Lyle, nieces and nephews, and other special family including caregivers Marilyn Powell, Regina Carl, and her home health aides. Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Strange and Rev. Kevin Slemp officiating. Burial was at the Berea Cemetery, grandchildren served as pallbearers. He was the husband of Virginia Rose (Gibson) Campbell whom he married on September 16, 1967. He was born in Bowlingtown, Ky. on December 24, 1942 and was the son of Grace Bowling Campbell and the late Blaine Campbell. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Yerkes Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #905 of Krypton. He was also an Army veteran, having volunteered to serve in Germany. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Virginia Rose Campbell of Busy; daughter Genia Jo and husband Greg Couch of Yerkes; mother Grace Campbell of Hazard; and brother Jim and wife Diane of Waynesburg. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and relatives. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27 at Living Waters Church in Hazard with Bro. Paul Couch and Bro. Weston Pratt officiating. Burial was held at Campbell Cemetery located in Yerkes. McKinght Funeral Home in Crab Orchard, Ky. was in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her father, Adam Plowman. He was 41 years of age at the time of his passing. He was born in Fayette County, the son of Vivian Holland Roberts and the late Ronald Roberts. He was a member of the Hardburly Masonic Lodge, a Shriner at the Breathitt County Lodge, and Eastern Star and Panbowl. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Roberts. He is survived by his son, Keith Roberts of Bulan; mother Vivian Roberts of Bulan; sister Tammy Roberts of Bulan and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a life lone resident of Perry County and was affiliated with with Lower Second Creek Church of God. She was also preceded in death by sister Aileen York Edwards. She is survived by her special friend and companion, John A. Sandlin of Leslie County; sons Gary Wells and Debra Napier of Combs; Michael York of Hazard; Stephen Wells of Manchester; and Bobby Wells of Leslie County; daughter Jamie Kilburn and husband Rex of Combs; 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2 at noon at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Rev. Merril David Collins officiating. The burial followed in the Combs Cemetery located at Combs. He was 73 years of age at the time of his passing. He was born in Perry County, the son of the late Robert Hayes and the late Alice Jones Hayes. He was a Presbyterian by faith, but attended the Jeff Missionary Baptist Church. He was the owner of Hayes Hazard Service Station which he opened in 1979, and he was also a school bus driver for the Perry County School System. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Kentucky Colonels, Hazard Lions Club, a union representative, a coach for Little League basketball and baseball, and he helped to start the Viper Volunteer Fire Department. He was also preceded in death by brothers Robert, Billy, Jack, and Jimmy; and sisters Virginia Ritchie, Irene Noble, and Bernice Short. He is survived by wife Carol Combs Hayes of Happy; son Rick Martin of Happy; step son Samuel Combs and wife Barbara of Happy; daughters Kimberly Tiller of Happy, Vicki Sammons and husband Mike, Suzy Shepherd and husband Ronnie, both of Hazard, and Robin Pennington and husband Tim of Manchester; sisters Pauline Nidiffer and husband Jack of Lexington and Mary Jane Cox and husband Curtis of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was a life long resident of Perry County and was a member of the Davidson Baptist Church in Grapevine. She was also preceded in death by brothers James S., Ed, Taft, Robert, and Johnny Campbell; sisters Malva Bowling and Serena Jackson. She is survived by brothers Morris Campbell and wife Polinia of Grapevine, Steve Campbell, Jr. and wife Mickey of Trenton, Ohio, and Harold Campbell and wife Gwynne of Albany, Ohio; sisters Louise Lamastus and husband Bennie of Germantown, Ohio, Katherine Brown and husband Bobby of Krypton; 33 nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews, 27 great-great nieces and nephews, the 300 Unit staff of Hazard Nursing Home, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Burial followed in the Campbell-Bowling Cemetery located at Meadow Branch in Napfor. He is survived by his wife, Emma Robertson; father Raymond Robertson; daughters Mary Marie Robertson (Jerald Slover), Hope E. Robertson, and Mary Michelle Robertson; son John C. Robertson; brothers Randy Robertson and Raylin Robertson; special friend Danny Love; and 10 grandchildren.
