He was born on July 23, 1949 in Lackey the son of Irema Combs Campbell and the late Elize Campbell. Kenneth Ray was a Retired School Teacher from the Knott County Board of Education. He was married to Verna Johnson Campbell. Other family members; Children; Nicholas Elzie Bill Campbell, Amy Nicole (Greg) Nelson Campbell, and Miranda Tory Myles Morgan all of Mousie. She was the last surviving daughter of Henry and Carrie Combs of Carrie. She was born February 17, 1911, in Carrie, which was named for her mother, Carrie Combs. She was the last of 9 children. Her sisters were Ida Martin, Stella Ritchie, Maude Huffman, Gladys Arthur, and Callie Combs. Brothers were Marcus Combs, Alfonso Combs and Dewey Combs. Grace was a school teacher in Knott County in the late 1920's and early 1930's. She married Tyrus Campbell of Perry County on September 26, 1939, and they eventually moved to West Virginia in the 1940's to South Charleston. Grace and her sisters Gladys Arthur worked in the Naval Ordinance Plant in South Charleston during WWII. Grace was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Grace is survived by her son, Harold Campbell, and his fiancée, Lynn Storrick of Hurricane, West Virginia. Daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Gene Raynes of South Charleston, West Virginia. Grandchildren are Derek Raynes and Jared Raynes. Niece and husband Elva and John Morrison of Hurricane, West Virginia. Sister-in-law Nancy Campbell.
