    2. We are a lucky people. Arlena Collins Francis describes my Home Town Area exactly as I remember it still in the 40's and 50's. It is worth reading, especially if you know about that part of Eastern Kentucky, or have been part of it. Many times we have discussed Irishman Creek, Flaxpatch, Smithsboro, Kelly Town, Cornett Hill, and Peamolder Hill. Arlena called it Boulder Hill, I know what she meant. All of these people here are my People, and I am so proud to descend from them. So Proud. These Smiths and Francis' are my immediately family. Thanks Arlene for your work here and your dedication to the education of our people. My father was one of the teens who was sent to work on the buildings of Carr Creek Community Center. Along with William Henry Young's work you can find it toward the bottom of the main index page. It is really nice reading. Go check it out.
