NELLIE MARIE STURDIVANT, age 81, of Wolcottville, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her home in Wolcottville with her family by her side. She was born in Salt Lick, Knott County, Kentucky on July 15, 1928 to the late Jasper and Fairlena (Napier) Moore. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the New Freedom Baptist Church in Lagrange. Survivors include: Son, Jasper and Wanda Case of Wolcottville. Son, Rev. Wade and Deb Sturdivant of Lagrange. Son, David Sturdivant of Wolcottville. Daughter, Jackie and Denny Thompson of Topeka. Daughter, Pauline Ritter of Rome City. 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Sister, Lucinda and Rev. Lee Combs of Wolcottville. Brother, Dalton Ray and Jeanette Moore of Rome City. Half sister, Irene Helton of Winchester, Kentucky. Half sister, Yvonne Collins of Garrett, Kentucky. She was also preceded in death by four grandchildren, one great grandson, sisters; Elsie Gibson, Violet Sturdivant and Lillie Itchner, brothers; Farris Moore and Chester Moore, and half sister; Christene Moore. Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, 2010, anytime after 2:00pm at the New Freedom Baptist Church, 300 North Sycamore Street in Lagrange. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00am at New Freedom Baptist Church. Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Wade Sturdivant. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
