    2. Good work Jack. I shall keep this with my file on Wyatt. Now that you are resting I have two Martins that are bugging me. The first one is William Martin b. abt 1820, he married twice. First to Nancy Kelly and for some reason he left her and married Mary Ashley widow of Alexander Smith. See census below: 1850 Perry Co Ky, Dist 2 133-143 William MORTIN, 24, M, Farmer, 150, KY, * Should read William Martin. The second Martin is John P (JP) Martin b. abt `1800 who married Nancy Smith dau of Elder Richard Smith and Alicia Combs. "Nancy SMITH was born circa 1802 in Tennessee, probably in Sullivan Co., and was married first to J.P. MARTIN (per The Combes Genealogy), and secondly George Combs (s/o Henry “8” and Rachel CLEMENTS Combs, Sr.). Her marriage to George Combs is documented by a deed from her brother Lorenza SMITH to her identifying her as the wife of George Combs (Record #4). Nancy is further proven as a daughter of Richard SMITH by deed (see Record #1) where both Nancy SMITH and George Combs are listed. It is not known if all of George Combs' children were by Nancy. The deed from her brother Lorenzo to her and the children begat by George Combs suggests that George might have some children by another woman and therefore do not share in the rights to the 200a on Coots Branch (Record #4). No Perry Co. marriage record has been found for a J. or J.P. MARTIN. 25 Dec. 1821 George Combs married in Perry Co., Ky. (absPC-MBA:2)" In a message dated 5/20/2010 2:49:30 P.M. After 2 years of searching, I located a candidate for DNA testing and his results yesterday show he is a descendant of James & Milly thorough their son James Martin (JR). With the DNA tests and a deed from this (JR) to Wyatt Martin, I have no question that this James (JR) is a child of James & Milly that Hoosh missed. A deed has also been found showing they had a daughter Sarah that Hoosh missed. I have looked at early census records now and can count 13 children rather that the 10 Hoosh listed. I am still missing an unidentified daughter but if there are Martin researchers interested in how I have listed this Martin family, let me know and I will get my information to you. 2. Jack Martin
    3. JB, Sorry, I am no help when it comes to these 2 Martins. I have read your discussions of these two in the past but have never been able to attach them to anyone in my files.
