JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON NELLIE EASTERLING FROM BELTON-STROUP FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE 1/9/11 Nellie Handshoe Easterling, age 76 of Fairborn, OH went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2010. She was born August 29, 1934 in Knott County, KY, the daughter of the late Bud and Sadie Handshoe. She was a member of the Faith Hill Church of God. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Toney; a son, Larry (Kathy) Easterling of Huber Heights, OH; three grandsons, Jeffrey (Lauren) Bays of Louisville, KY, Steven (Sarah) Easterling of Huber Heights, Alan Easterling of Fairborn; four great-grandsons, Micah, Noah, and Jeremiah Easterling of Huber Heights, Adrian Bryan of Fairborn; five nephews, Darrell (Cassie) Handshoe of Fairborn, David (Garnet) Handshoe of Hamilton, OH, Gary (Gay) Easterling of MI, Danny Williams of Fairborn, Ricky Williams of Fairborn; six nieces, Debra (Steve) Montgomery of KY, Patsy (Dave) Sturey of Fairborn, Karen (Danny) Pratt of Fairborn, Pam Long of Fairborn, Peggy Keith of Fairborn, Debbie Barnett of Fairborn; two sisters-in-law, Joyce (Dave! ) Hale of New Carlisle, OH, Marie Williams of Fairborn; a brother-in-law, Tooney (Imajean) Easterling of Fairborn as well as many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lee Bays and Sheila Walter; a brother, Billy R. Handshoe; and step-father, Howard Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on November 3, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Minister Dave Sturey officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Suite B, Xenia, OH 45385.
