PAULINE RITTER,age 59, of Rome City, died on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Goshen General Hospital in Goshen. Mrs. Ritter was born in Hindman, Kentucky on April 27, 1951 to the late Paul and Nellie (Moore) Sturdivant. She graduated from Lakeland High School and Ivy Tech, Fort Wayne, in 1983 with an associates degree in computer programing. Pauline owned Tubby's Pizza in Rome City and Churubusco for about 4 years in the early 1990's. She was a secretary at Deca-Tech in Kendallville and Eaton Controls for a period of time and she was a real estate agent for Colwell-Banker, Shrock Real Estate from 1996-2008. Pauline loved spending time with all ten of her grandchildren at the same time. She loved kids, spending time with family and helping others. She also liked going to stock car races, playing cards, working word search and crossword puzzles. She attended the New Freedom Baptist Church in Lagrange. Survivors include: Daughter, Tammy and George Wolfe of Wolcottville. Son, Ridgely Ritter, Jr. of Wolcottville. Ten grandchildren; Amanda Cressey, Kaitlyn Wolfe, Tyler Ritter, Payton Ritter, Natalie Ritter, Brody Ritter, Ivory Ritter, Brooke Ritter, Tristin Ritter, and Jade Ritter. One great-grandchild, Kourtney Marie Rupert. Brother, Jasper and Wanda Case of Wolcottville. Brother, Rev. Wade and Deb Sturdivant of Lagrange. Brother, David Sturdivant of Wolcottville. Sister, Jackie and Denny Thompson of Topeka. Her companion and friend, Donald Conrad of Ligonier. Many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Travis Ritter, who died in 1991; her grandson, William Louis Cressey,II who died November 1986; nephew, Shane Case, who died November 20, 2006; and a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Ritter in 2010. Visitationwill be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from after 3:00pm at New Freedom Baptist Church at the corner of Factory and Sycamore Streets in Lagrange, Indiana. Funeral serviceswill be Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00am at New Freedom Baptist Church. Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Wade Sturdivant. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
