JEANETTE SLONE, age 83, of rural Kendallville, died on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at North Ridge Village in Albion. Mrs. Slone was born in Wayland, Kentucky on January 24, 1927 to the late Estill and Lona (Salyers) Smith. She married Winston Slone on February 9, 1945 in Kentucky and moved to Noble County 1955. Mr. Slone preceded her in death September 12, 1995. Jeanette was retired from Flint & Walling in Kendallville after 18 years of service. She loved gardening and canning and quilting in her younger days. Jeanette had many friends and loved the Old Regular Baptist Church. Survivors include: Son, Bill and Roselma Slone of South Milford. Son, Ed and Penny Slone of Albion. Grandchildren: Billy Slone, Jr. of Auburn, Angela Slone of Kendallville, Eddie and Rachel Slone of Kendallville, Brett Slone of Kendallville, Troy Slone of Kendallville, Joel and Kathy Smart of LaGrange, Amanda Smith of Kendallville, Robert Iden and Jenifer Iden both of Albion and Dominiq Slone of Albion. Great grandchildren: Antonio Figueroa, Cain Slone, Morgan and Dylan Gamble, Annie Anglin, Eddie Slone III, Trisha Marizon, Isaih and Sara Smart, and Hailey Slone. One great-great grandchildren. Five brothers and five sisters. Visitation will be Friday, June 11, 2010, from 3:00-7:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00am at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church in Lisbon. Officiating the funeral service will be the Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist ministers. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery in Rome City, Indiana. Casketbearers will be grandsons, Eddie Slone, Jr., Brett Slone, Troy Slone, Billy Slone, Jr., Joel Smart, and Robert Iden.
