    3. Arnold Calhoun Arnold Calhoun, age 89, of Sunman, Indiana, formerly of Knott County, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born March 7, 1921, to Denver and Lona Reynolds Calhoun. He is survived by daughter: Debbie; brothers: Wendall, Loren and Bo. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Bill Kirby and Johnny Patrick officiating. She was born in Knott County on February 11, 1954. She was the daughter of Guy Madden and Audrey Combs Madden. Guylene was a retired Bus Driver for the Knott County Board of Education. She was married on July 29, 1972, to James Couch. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister- Tamara Madden. She is survived by her husband- James Couch; 2 Sons- Jamie (Rachel) Couch of Carrie, and Rondall Couch of Hazard; 1 Brother- Larry Madden of London, and 1 Sister- Julia Cornett of Tennessee; 4 Grandchildren- Macie (Scott) Mosley, Hannah Gunnell, Branson and Gannon Couch. Alta was born June 15, 1917, in McDowell. Her parents moved to Fleming Co. where she graduated from Flemingsburg High School, attended Morehead State University and Georgetown College. Survivors are 3 sons, Dr. Edward D. Leslie (Judy) of Frankfort, Ky., Dr. Larry Milford Leslie (Lynn) and Dr. Keith Leslie (Teresa) of Prestonsburg, her 10 grandchildren are Dr. Larry M. Leslie II (Heather), Louisville, Ky., Elizabeth Greer (Todd) London, Ky., Kathy Lamar (Johnny) Nicholasville, Ky., Lara Lea Grote (Charles) Louisville, Ky., Rhonda Heinze (Johnny), Ashley Turner (Brad), Heather Leslie, Sean Leslie, Maegan Leslie and Rondall H. Leslie II, all of Prestonsburg, Ky., and twelve great grandchildren. Alta had one sister Opal Waddell (Lloyd) and two nephews, Gary Waddell (Nancy), Atlanta, Ga.,and Randell Waddell (Joan), Louisville, Ky. Her brother Lt. Commander Edgille V. Hall preceded her in death in 1946 leaving her one niece Sherrill Mercer of Chadbourne, NC. Alta was a member of the First Baptist Church of Prestonsburg.
