    3. I think we have Spencer married to the right Cordelia d/o Hiram H. Amburgey and Leodicy Dicey Adams. Mainly due to age of both Cordelia's on the 1910 census. On 1930 census where Madge appears as niece to Simeon & Mary Combs. She's the daughter of Watson and not Spencer, so she would still be a niece to Simeon. On another sideline to this: Cordelia Amburgey d/o George Washington Wash Amburgey and Mary Branham-Smith appears on 1900 census as single with 1 child living. Child Cullen b. 5/1899 also appears in this census. On 1910 census no Cullen b. @ 1900, but another son Cullen b. 1907. Watson Combs appears on 1910 census in HH of Hiram & Dicy Amburgey as son-in-law, with a Cullen b. 1903 and Ivian b. 1907. On 1920 census Cullen appears b. 1900. Wondering if this Cullen is s/o Cordelia (d/o George & Mary B. Smith Amburgey) and Ivian is s/o Bessie Amburgey d/o Hiram Amburgey and Leodicy Adams. This all hinges on whether I'm reading the ORB obit correctly and if the information is correct in the obit. John Owens married Patsy Fugate and they had a son, Reece Owens who married Mary Hicks.  Reece and Mary had a daughter, Hannah who married Byram Combs.

Garnard, tell us which Byram you have in your book. I have a  Byram who had son Jackson Combs. Family tradition says this Byram move to  Indiana and remarried. This is also recorded in one of the Diary entrys of Dr  Dickey. This Byram is the one I am interested in. He owned land in Knott  County at Irishman Creek near the Carr Fork Lake Boat Dock. John W Combs  purchased parts of the Biram Combs farm from Hilliard and Shepherd SMITH,  sons of Alexander SMITH and Mary Ashley. Alexander Smith and Mary Ashley  are my interest.
