Margaret Delmar Draughn, age 88, of Hindman, Kentucky, passed away January 1, 2011 at the Tradewaters Health and Rehabilitation Center at Dawson Springs, Kentucky. He was born in Knott County, Kentucky on February 4, 1922 to Leslie Draughn and Ruie Maggard Draughn. He is survived by 1 brother: Homer (Bessie) Draughn; 4 sisters: Gertrude Horne, Norma (Grover) Slone, Jean (Fred) Smith and Clara Evelyn Draughn; host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Lawrence Baldridge and Randall Short officiating. Burial will follow at the Leslie Draughn Cemetery at Leburn, Kentucky. Friends may call for visitation at the chapel, Tuesday from 6-9PM.

Thanks so much for posting this!!! I along with many others loved Duck and grieved deeply. I still visit his grave at Jeff at least twice each year. It is a very touching account of James Thurman "Little Duck" Gibson's body brought home for burial after the loss of his life in Viet Nam.
