MAGGIE GROH, age 70, of Kendallville, died on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. Mrs. Groh was born near Quicksand, Kentucky, in Knott County on August 10, 1939 to Taulby and Delana Roberta (Shepherd) Handshoe. Her father died at a young age in 1948. She married Paul A. Groh on June 14, 1964 in Kendallville and he preceded her death June 21, 1985. Maggie was a homemaker and did alot of babysitting and taking care of her family for many years. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers and attending church. She was a dedicated member of Community Baptist Church near Wolcottville. Survivors include: Her mother, Delana Roberta Terry of Kendallville. Daughter, Jackie Delana Hammel of Kendallville. Daughter, Vickie L. Groh-Roberts of Kendallville. MABLE BRADLEY, age 83, of Kendallville, died on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Mrs. Bradley was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on September 5, 1926 to the late Edward and Myrtle (Coburn) Bailey. She married Isadore Bradley on June 3, 1947 in Kentucky and he preceded her death March 23, 2009. She was a nurse's aide and employed in the past with the Lutheran Home in Kendallville. She was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church near Rome City. Survivors include: Son, Robert and Carolyn Bradley of Kendallville. Daughter, Carla Halferty of Helmer. Armond Ritchie, 86, of Kendallville died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 11:05 a.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville, where he has resided since June, 2008. Mr. Ritchie was a coal miner, and retired as a truck driver. He attended the Full Gospel Revival Center in Rome City. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He was born November 25, 1923, in Kentucky to Orlando and Viney (Sutton) Ritchie. In June, 1946, he married June Campbell in Hindman, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on May 6, 1986. On November 19, 1990, in Kendallville he married Edna (Skaggs) Isbell. She survives in Kendallville. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Junie & Eddie Jones of Kendallville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack & Cathy Ritchie of Belle Center Ohio, Kenneth & Keila Ritchie of Rome City, Brent & Betty Ritchie of Kendallville, and Terry & Patty Ritchie of San Jose, California; a stepson, Jimmy Isbell of Walkerton; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosetta Terrille of Ohio

Garnard or anyone that would know, Do you know anything about Fred Martin & Stella Martin from Prestonsburg? They lived there years ago and owned a motel near the highschool. They adopted a daughter Verla that is my Aunt. I am trying to find out the parents of each of them. Verla is really hard to trace back. She is unable to tell me anything since she's really sick and has dementia. glo
