    3. Jeff Amburgey, age 84, of Litt Carr, KY, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at his home. He was born August 28, 1926 at Litt Carr, KY to Byrd Amburgey and Bertha Hall Amburgey. He was preceded in death by his wife-Lona Amburgey. He is survived by 1 brother- Buster (Rachel) Amburgey; Sister-in-law- Lula Perkins; A host of Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services for Jeff Amburgey will be held 1:00 PM Monday, September 6, 2010 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Ronnie Robinson and Emery Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Jasper A. Amburgey Cemetery at Litt Carr, KY. Friends may call for visitation at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel after 6:00 PM Saturday and anytime on Sunday with additional services Sunday evening at 7:00 PM. Military rites will be conducted Monday at the chapel by the Hindman Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.

    3. Anybody know who Hassel Short married? glo Hassel Short, age 59 of Topmost, passed away August 19, 2010, at home. He was born December 18, 1950, at Kite, the son of the late Sherman & Clarinda Slone Short. He was a retired General Laborer. He is survived by 1 son: Nathan Short of Martin; 2 daughters: Tracy Short of South Carolina & Renee Terrill of Campton; 4 brothers: Ervine Short, Sherman Jr. Short, Roman Short & Wayne Short all of Kite; 2 sisters: Pauline Allen of Rogersville, Tennessee & Rosa Short of Kite; Special Companion & Friend: Tashina Sparkman; 6 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 brother: Hubert Short. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman with Red Morris, Nathan Hackworth & Darrell Short officiating. Burial followed at the Sherman Short Cemetery on Mullins Branch at Kite, under the direction of the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman. I know this Cora Bentley had some children and she was later married  to a Potter ( don't remember his name ) She had some children but,I don't know if they were Hall's or Potter's.    I know she had a son named Burn that went by the Potter name. I only saw them once in awhile when they came to the Omaha/Pine Top area to visit her sister Bessie Hall. He was also in the Armed Forces during World War II, serving from January 18, 1943 to September 11, 1945.     2. Anna Lou Combs, 83, of Ligonier died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at 10:45 p.m. in North Ridge Village Nursing Home, Albion. Mrs. Combs retired from Silgan, formerly Monsanto, in Ligonier after 19 years. She was a member of the Cromwell Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed bowling, listening to music, watching television, planting flowers and trees. She was especially fond of her three dogs, her indoor cat, and her two outdoor cats. She was born January 27, 1927, in Pinetop, Kentucky, to Hasadore and Ibby (Sparkman) Short. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Slone of Ligonier; three grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a sister, Hasanell Blankenship of Somerset, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by four sons, Larry Ford, Bill Slone, Doug Slone, and Bobby Slone; two daughters, Hester West and Nona Slone; a grandson; five brothers; and seven sisters. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Matt Line officiating.
