I finally found one of my husbands family on two census records. In 1920 he is on the census for The Sisters of the Poor Hospital in Covington KY listed as an inmate. Some are listed as patients and some inmates. In the 1930 census he is listed on the St Elizabeth's Hospital as a helper with others listed as plumbers, janitors etc. Hoping some one out there will know if these are mental hospitals or just what their function was or still is? Having him in this type of place for at least ten years I am thinking it must be a mental health hospital.
