Alfred is the grandson of Rev. War veteran, James Williams b.VA and is named as such in his Rev. War pension record. [I haven't figured out who Alfred's parents were.] James seemed to move from VA>NC>KY>IN. He died in 1837 and is buried in Vermillion Cnty, IN. His wife, Mary Uptegrove died before 1850. Catherine Irwin Williams died in the early 1850's and Alfred married Mary Jane Long. They moved first to Putnam Cnty, MO [1860 census] and then to Linn Cnty in the mid-1860's. In Alfred's Civil War pension record Mary M. provides an affidavit that identifies her as the dau. of Alfred and Catherine. Mary M.'s brothers, James M. & Milton also moved to Missouri. Ezra consistently seems to give his birthplace as IN. How do you make the KY connection? Cindy
