Author: christinebalero Surnames: BRADFORD, MORGAN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.kentucky.counties.kenton/2994.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: hi there, john charles bradford was born 5-1-1866, covington, kenton, kentucky....he said that when he was 8 (1874) he became a orphan, was placed on a farm, he ran away at 12 (1878), he ran into the mountains and became a trapper and worked his way to saskatchewan, canada....he was a farmer there, he married his first wife i have no name, she died, then he ended up in minneapolis, hennepin, minnesota....if i remember correctly he worked at a railway station, had a woman clean his house, her name was marie amelia heinz, he was much older then her and she had three children by prev. marriage....they married and had 9 more children; john henry, robert charles, amos syer, clara may, sophia elizabeth, richard allen, harriet shirley, norman & carolyn....in this family marie carried on a kidney disease, that killed most of her children by their early 20's...one being my grandmother sophia elizabeth, she died 10-3-1954....her father john charles bradford died the day he buried her ! 10-5-1954....and john remembered he was english/welch....mother welch, father english....thats why we are thinking that the morgans may have been of the mothers family....i found several morgan's but only a few with direct links to wales....in the 1880 census, covington, kenton, kentucky....now of course the bradford children had already ran away by then....so my question would be, are there other records that would show if any of these families had a connection to this family...would there be an obit for capt. bradford, pretaing to his children, maybe giving their mothers name, living relatives...i don't know what info the obits gave back then..i hope this info helps, and thank you for taking the time to help me...
