Renee, My g-grandmother's name was Mattie Lyle Payne and she was from Crab Orchard, KY. She never liked the name Mattie and went by Martha for most of her life. She divorced him after bearing two children, Robert Edwin Tanner, Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Tanner.
