Happy Memorial Day Week-end to the List! I could really use some help with my ARNOLD Brick wall. I am trying to located ANYONE searching the ARNOLD's who from 1818 were located for a couple of years in Dearborn County, Indiana and from 1820's to the 1900's resided in Kenton County (Covington) Kentucky. Prior to 1818, my John R. Arnold (b. abt. 1792 in NY) lived and married in Baltimore Maryland. I have no information on any of John's parents or siblings, only his children from 1815 to current day. There is a Charles Arnold, b. 1765 Bedfordshire England who married a Mary Hale in 1784 who had 10 children - one of them a John R. Arnold born August 13, 1792. This is my only possible lead but can't find any clues on this lead either. JOHN R. ARNOLD is believed to have been born August 13, 1792 in New York. He married MARGARET RANDEL BOLT 1812 in Baltimore Maryland. She was born Abt. 1796 in Maryland, and died Bef. 1830 in Dearborn, IN. Notes for JOHN R. ARNOLD: John R. Arnold lived on a farm that he purchased in 1818 in Dearborn County, Indiana, east of Moore's hill and Sparta Indiana. The farm was in the SW 1/4 of Sec. 8, Manchester Township, T-5-N, R-2-W. By 1830, his wife had died. Sometime during the 1820's he moved to Covington, Kentucky. He is believed to have been born about 1787-1793. Also believed that he had a brother by the name of William H. Arnold, as William H. Arnold is buried beside John's son, William Chapman Arnold in Highland Cemetery in Covington (Ft. Wright) Kentucky. I do not know where John is buried. WILLIAM CHAPMAN ARNOLD, b. 1823, Dearborn, Indiana. Married Christina Hedges v. GERTRUDE ARNOLD. Married Capt. Willima Robinson vi. MOSES ARNOLD, b. 1819, Indiana; d. September 06, 1898. married Sarah Ann Hayworth Owens vii. ELIZA ARNOLD1, m. JOHN STEPHENSON, January 03, 1937, Campbell County, KY. viii. EUPHEMIA ARNOLD. Married a Mr. Fields ix. MARY J.
