    1. Re: [KYKENTON] Death record
    2. Ann, if your family lived on W. 5th Street and is Irish, you might try finding records from old St. Patrick's Church that was at 4th and Philadelphia Streets in Covington from 1872 to 1967 (now torn down). These might be on the Kenton County library site also, but I'm not sure. The church was founded too late to have death info on Patrick abt 1864, and if he died in the Covington area, St. Mary's founding in 1870 would be too late for him unless he was moved there from another site. Mother of God cemetery and its predecessor, Buena Vista, might be possibilities for Patrick although they usually held German Catholics (but who knows - there might have been room for others too!). For Patrick's death, then, I'd try Mother of God or Linden Grove cemeteries. For the neighborhood where your people lived, St. Patrick's was the "Irish" church and Mother of God was the "German" church. No guarantee on this, but when I've visited the Kenton Co. library I've looked at a microfilm reel that holds earlier death records and might have Patrick's death on it. You could email Dave Schroeder there and ask for a look-up. What are you trying to find out about Martin Carey? Darla
