I have an ancestor that died somewhere between 1900-1904 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. He most probably would have been buried in the catholic cemetery in Covington. Can anyone on this list give me the name of that cemetery. Does anyone on the list have an index of that cemetery? The ancestor whom I am seeking to find a date of death for is Ben Reverman (Revermann). In the 1900 Census he is living on Western Avenue, Covington. Any assistance will be much appreciated. Jane
Hi -- My Catholic ancestors are buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fort Mitchell. They were from Covington and died about the same time as yours. Perhaps yours are buried there too. (Or not.) Hope this helps! There are some records that can be accessed through the Kenton County Library web site if you have a library card. I am not sure if this is the same man or not but there are at least 11 Reverman's buried at St. Mary's including Bernard Reverman. The record is in German and shows a date of July 30, 1903 but I am not 100% sure if that is a death date or burial date. Let me know if you want me to e-mail you off list with a PDF file showing that record. Jane, My relatives who died during that period in Covington are buried in Mother of God Cemetery, 2701 Latonia Avenue, Covington, KY 41015. I called the cemetery last year (I have forgotten the phone number but found it thru information) and the office kindly faxed me a list that showed all my Klostermann/n relative's burial sites and then they faxed me a copy of the map of the cemetery with the sections and lots listed. It was a great help since some of the sites contained up to 12 bodies but the headstone only listed my Great Great Grandparents....the cemetery's list showed who else was buried there.
