Hi. I'd like to know if someone could tell me what a tobacconist would be. I don't know if it's someone who raises tobacco, or maybe a broker, or something. My great-grandmother was Amelia Hill, her father acc. to the censuses was William Hill. His occup. was listed as tobacconist. If anybody would have any information about her or her family, I would be grateful to find something out. I know she married George Nunnery in 1880, but I'm not sure where he came from, or anything about his family. Her second husband was my great grandfather.(Adam Bickel).
