Kenton County has two county seats, Covington and Independence, but you probably already know that since you are looking at real estate in that area. Civil records are in Covington, but ALL land records are in Independence (at least they were a few years back). Ask your real estate agent for the parcel number, and the court workers can direct you to the books you will need to search. They were very helpful to us. Good luck.
