Thanks Ann for your help. I am pretty sure this Jerusha is the mother of Charles Orr Hale. I found Jerusha with her husband Edmund R. Hale in the 1860 New Hampshire census. They had a son listed named Charles. According to the information that someone sent me a number of years ago this Charles is the father of Edmund P. Hale and Cora Miranda Hale. Jerusha and Flora were born in NH. The name of the family they are living with was also certainly CARPENTER - Albert, Mary and Edward.
