Dear Kathleen, I am pretty sure Kenton Co., Ky courthouse does not have birth records that far back, if they do, then possibly they are spotty like many other counties in the country were during that time. You need to look at Census records 1860 before they were born to see if parents or siblings are listed; after they were born 1870 census to find your person with their parents/guardian's, 1880 Census, and most importantly the 1900 Census which gives a wealth of information.
